My Marauder made it to the dealership this AM. I just happened to be walking by at lunch (it's next door) and ran into the sales guy.
He tosses me the keys and says, "I just put a plate on it, take it for a ride."
I jump in:
- five (5) miles on it
- plastic still on the seats/carpet
- big cardboard "tailpipe protectors" had just been removed
This thing is great! I take delivery on Wednesday (5/21). I probably won't sleep much 'til then!
I'll try to post some pics when I get it home. I just had to tell somebody...

If you would have bought Black, instead of Blue...you could have used "RacerX" as your avatar.
Or if you're RF....you could use "Chim-Chim"

Great!
You won't sleep until you have it.
If they do a proper PDI road test they could put 10 miles on it

If I could figure out someway to carry the crap my wife buys, or I need for the house, I'd take the MM instead of her Windstar. But, alas, it's hard to carry 20 bags of mulch. or 2x4's, or building supplies! Anybody got a magic wand that'll change the MM into a pick-up for the day?

Not a problem.. Look for a used pick-up (Ford) 8-10 years old and use that as your work horse..Works for me:D  :)

Around here, that "magic wand" is called a $20 Bill.
Daily rental fee for a pickup at U-Haul!

The Blackwood is actually a nice vehicle. Much better than the rebadged Avalanche Cadillac offers.
Ford gave up on the Blackwood before it even hit dealer lots

Actually the public gave up on the Blackwood first when it hit the dealers lots with an MSRP of over $52 K
Not many can afford or will pay that kind of cash for a pickup truck. Even here in Texas where pickups and money seem to be plentiful, dealers finally sold off their stock of them in the $32 K range. IMHO

Fast4door- Welcome! I just picked up my MM last week. I love it! I am inventing excuses to drive it..."What! We only have half a bottle of maple syrup left!? I better take a drive to the store to get some more!" :burnout:

Actually Ford did give up on them before they hit the lots. They were in production and too late to stop.
$52K is too much for a pick-up but people have no problem paying big $ for Cadillac versions of Chevrolets.
At the least the Blackwood was different from the rest of Ford's truck line. 50/50 weight distribution too.
I've only seen one on the road

RC,
Your right. I actually looked at one. If it would have had a bench seat in the back instead of buckets I might have worked a deal. I needed to be able to seat 5 adults. So dang it anyway........I ended up with a Marauder. :D
