Late Notice Car Show (9 Sep, 2 PM) -- Prince William Cruisers

Sorry for the short notice. This was posted months ago in the collection of local car shows thread ... just forgot.

I am gonna head over around 1:30 PM. Hope to see some of the local folks there.

The 14th Annual Prince William Cruisers Car show is today Saturday, 9 September 2006. Show runs 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Registration from 2-5 PM. Cost $15:00. Dash plaques for the first 125 cars. Top 50 awards plus specialty awards for best engine, best paint, best late model 1990-2005, club participation, Cowles Ford Choice and PWC Best of Show is a 5 foot trophy.

Even for the short notice, we had three Marauders show up for the event. Merc was there with is Black MM, Sherm had his DTR Trilogy #78, and of course, the Bluerauder.

What a tough crowd. Some terrific cars. About 135-145 registered. I knew it was gonna be a tough day when the "Cowles Ford Choice" went to a Chevy.

Bottomline -- the Marauders got skunked -- not that we didn't try. Wait --- that's not completely true. Sherm won a door prize bottle of Meguiar's Quick Wax and Merc walked off with a 5 qt jug of Valvoline 10W-40. Now he has to figure out what to do with it. :rofl: Below are some of the trophies that we didn't get to take home. :(

Overall it was a great day and a good showing for the MM group with lots of interest, comments and questions. Thanks Merc and Sherm for a great day --- and the S/C ride-along. :D The mod pressure has been turned up another notch. :rofl:
