Got this from CrownVic.net and it is a very interesting read. I like the comparisons with the Impala/Charger. Ford should use the guys who wrote this up to do their regular car advertisements.

I like the 'ballistic door panel' option.

I wonder if I could retrofit this to my Marauder...it could come in handy during rush hour traffic in the Baltimore-Wash.DC area.:o

The brochure should be titled:

"We actually have to SELL these vehicles now that we have competition."

Funny how there's no mention that a V8 Impala or V8 Charger will kick the everlivin' dog ***** out of the CVPI.

Also, the Impala is wrong wheel drive and you cannot order a V8 with the 9C1 package.

I believe that they are available and will fit the MM, but the price could be around $1500 each.

It has the results from police testing in Mi and CA with various police cruisers. Ford's, Chevy's and Dodge's included.

No info on durability though, although I didn't really search the site.

Oh and Chuck you were right about the Hemi's, they're faster... Look at the difference in 0-100 times! And the Charger's top out at 150 instead of the CV 120-130.

I thought the LA County test for maintanence accessability was very revealing. Yes, I agree the hemi is much faster and performs marginally better in braking, but they way I read these two reports are that in just about every other catagory, the CVPI is more practical. Interesting.
