Limo all the way around, 20% on the windshield. This is the first car that I've done limo tint that isn't metallic based and I'm lovin' the DARK black tint~! It is alot darker than my SRT was and that had metallic limo on every window including the windshield~!

Sure is dark. Is it legal to tint the windshield in NV? I have 35% on my front sides, I would never want even that my windshield - let alone 20%. To each his own - have you considered HIDs? :P

Agreed. There is a tint here in KY, that is about 50% - 60% for the windshield, but did not go down that road.

Many states will smack a driver around for tint that dark. (20%)

Looks good, but not for me. Happy with my 35%, and is legal in most states.

Be careful out there, especially at night.

Mike.

20% on the windshield! wow... I have no Idea how you possibly see in unlit areas at night.... But I gotta say it looks great and is probably really cool to drive with during the day...

I am from vegas ya know.......city of lights.

It's very rare that I ever have trouble seeing out at night. Plus I work graveyard so I'm working 5 nights out of the week so the car's really only driven 2 nights a week. :banana2:

Man....hope you don't drive much at night!

Here is Ohio, you are allowed a 5" Strip across the Front Windshield of whatever. 50% on the Front Door Windows, and whatever % you want behind that.

PS - Looks good though! ;)

Sure is dark. :P

Spend a few weeks in Vegas and you will wonder how any vehicle in town maintains a dash board within the warranty period.

I will be the first one to tell you that 15% is illegal in any state.

I never said it was legal . Just that police here in Vegas dont strictly enforce tint laws. Probably becuase it hits 115 for 2 months straight.

Not really because all of my other cars I've owned have had the same tint if not darker. I've been driving the marauder for about 3 months with no tint so it was a bit hard to get used to at first but after ONE night its fine.

As it is usually the case, in Illinois there is no "standard" to work with. Like decibles with exhaust and entertainment noise, it's completely up to the LEO's "opinion". No sound meters, no tint meters. No 50 or 15 percent rules, it's all in what the officer "thinks" is too loud, or, "obstructed". If the cops decide to cite you, your automobile is subject to seizure and held for a hearing.

Yeah...It sucks, your car gets arrested and booked, and you have to post a bond and present a defense on it's behalf. If found guilty, wave bye-bye. Some undercover cop somewhere will be using it to make drug buys.

Right after I bought the #1x, I had a scrape with a CPD Inspector (Lt. by rank, exempt by appointment) who challenged my tint. I disagreed, and I placed a news paper on the front seat and read the smallest print on the front page through the window. At night, a ordinary flashlight would suffice for illumination. Then I added that it came that way from the Kenny Brown factory and he backed off.

But he didn't like it, and two weeks later we were discussing my exhaust. He stopped me after I started the car in the parking lot and asked if (in my opinion) was my exhaust too loud. I responded "what?" Can you speak up? Then I showed him the Ford part number on the DR Cobra manifolds, and he strolled away, content that he was right, but I wasn't worth the inter-departmental argument.

Decisions like these should not be left to any LEO's opinion. The controlling state needs to set a minimum standard of acceptable, and use up to date methods of determining sub-standard violations. Alas, not in these parts. But, at least there is some "room" in the language to show courtesy to the intra-state traveller.

Man that looks sweet. Here in MD 35 is the legal % but a lot of people have 20%. I still have done mine yet but I will probably end up doing 35 as the cops love to rubber neck at the MM.
