Carl Yarber over at Team Ford was nice enough to open up this beauty for me to get some good pictures while I was waiting for my Harley Truck to get finished up in service (note to Glassman - that Marauder of your's is FRICKIN AWESOME!!!)
For a mere $590,000 you can drive it home....

Actually, I pointed out to the Toddster that if I paid over a half mil for a car, I don't think I'd want the screws that hold on the tail lights to be visible..

This is actually the engine air intake scoop...
http://www.mercurymarauder.net/showcase/files/1/1/3/6/DSC00107.JPG
These tubes, one on each side, bring the air down from the top of the car to the intake tube (a 427 engine, btw)...

and of course, you want to show off this hardware even with the hood closed....

The doors are cool... they are featherlight with perfect counterbalancing, and the only resistance is just before you shut them so you use proper force to close the latches...

The door opening "button" that you can't see from above.

That's the cheap one. The better one has a 700hp twin turbo engine. It sales for over $700,000.

For that kind of $$$, I would have expected this to be a Turbo.

The engineers are not very bright...That car sits too low to make it through the car wash.

Thats because its a sin to take that through a car wash. So they make sure you damage it so they can take it away from you for a while while you think about the mistake you made. You should have it flown overseas and have that one guy with the insanly priced detailing wash it.

I'd be afraid of scratching it myself when washing it. Is it a ford paint/clearcoat job?

Was that overseas? I remember watching a guy on T.V. "Detail" cars and he used Evian bottled water to wash them down. IIRC he picked a folded rag off the ground and starting wiping the wheels as they zoomed away and began showing the next clip.

I believe that my E-150's tail lights inspired the design of this S7 since they too have visable screws in the tail lights. Never thought of my lights as sporty in there design (screw showing).

All I have to say is that they are using 42# injectors... I feel better now :D

There was a post around here of a video of a guy who charges an insane amount of money for a detail he had some type of carnuba wax he was applying with his hands and they said if you buy his best detail he will come out to your house if you get a bird dropping on it and has a whole process to get it off that he will do for free. Tomorrow I'll try and find the video.

It was $10,000 USD for his custom wash and waxing with some stuff he made himeself and applied by hand.
No thanks, but I would love to have that car

Warranty, I dunno.
Most buyers of high end cars like this pay cash. No 0% from Ford Credit, but I imagine FC would finance the car if you qualified.
Team Ford sells a lot of Saleen vehicles, and doubtless will have a buyer for this car before long. My guess is Saleen was happy to send them one for their showroom for promotional purposes. Team has a nice Saleen display on the show room floor.
