The only thing I can say is they were 8 games or so better than the DRays.

I am with ya Rich on this one. I have been an Orioles fan going back to the 1950s and remember the great days of the 1960s and the 1966 World Series team. I enjoyed seeing Mickey Mantle, Roger Maris, Whitey Ford, Yogi Berra, Bobby Richardson and all the Yanks play the game. But I always routed for an Oriole win. The Yanks have dominated the game for so long (what is it now 25 WS wins in the last 50 years or something??) Sure would like to see someone put an end to their dominance.

Let's bring back Brooks Robinson, Luis Aparicio, Chuck Adair, Jim Gentile, Boog Powell, Jackie Brandt, Dave Nicholson, Frank Robinson (he's available next year), Gus Triandos, Chuck Estrada, Steve Barber, and a bunch of others.

Given what they have spent over the last decade on player payroll alone they damn better be winning. If the Yank-my-wees were put into another media market (away from NY) they'd run out of money and fall back into line with the rest of league.

What is the real issue here? Are you having trouble getting over the Jeffrey Mair (sp?) thing? That is the real curse. He actually called Angelos in the beginning of the season to try out for your OOOOOOOOOOOOO'ss. Perhaps he should have signed him.
