No! Vehicles can be repainted even from the factory..
You won't get anywhere with it..some early marauders
had paint peeling issues mine was in the door jam on
the right rear. You are probably better of because they
repainted it!

If the repaint is undetectable what is the problem? There are not many 03 Marauders with 2 much paint.:D Just my 2 cents. dennis

When they re-painted they made an extremly bad job, any thing makes scratches very poor re-paint job :(

The oasis report lists where it was reapaired,
you could go to them and see if they would fix it
for you??
My whole car was eventually repainted because
the original paint was cracking..The resale doesn't
mean much as I don't plan to resell the car..
repainting one panel should not affect your resale?

I'm not re-selling :P
I was wondering because the paint job is quite poor who ever did it :(

Typical dealership quickfix to cover scratches or minor accidental
damage..sounds like dealership repair! If you have only had the car
for a short time the dealership might repair it for you as a good
faith/customer repair.? as Bigdogjim might be trying to suggest!

It could of damage during transit when being shipped to the dealer and they also do random vehicle checks and inspections from plant to dealers. I forget what the term is but when I was working at a Ford dealership a customer's 05 Mustang GT that was retailed order got a few marks and dings on it, but the dealership being an upstanding one let me know right away and to inform the customer right away and we would either repair it and throw in some free oil changes, order him another one but hire a private transport or refund him his money back. Customer just said fix and call me when its done. THEY SHOULD OF informed you though.

Hmm...true...what dealer did you get your Marauder? Because when I bought it, it was healvy discounted:rolleyes: but I noticed they took a of of "extra care" around it....

You've had the car for more than 3 years and are now concerned about a paint job dating back to your original purchase?? You may have been able to get some attention within a reasonable period of time after the purchase. But now you are past the warranty period. Personally, I don't think you have a leg to stand on. Let it go. If the paint is that bad ... have it redone ... but don't expect any help from Ford or the dealership. There's probably a statute of limitations on such things. 3 years?? :o

was it the left rear fender.mine had been repainted before I
Had recieved it.It might have been a factory paint problem
the dealers had to repair..and correction it was the left rear
door jam that was repainted.since i sounds similar to mine and
the production dates are so close.could have been for the same
reason?

whats not exactly what he is getting at. The fact it was painted at the minimum of 3 years ago is the thing. In their eyes you could have had some tard in your lot key the car and took it to some hole in the wall place to get it repaired. In the process they half donkey'd it and you try taking it to for to fix it right under warentee. I know it sux but let it go. Ford paint jobs in general aren't even 3 year survivable. I get scratches using keyless entry from accross the parking lot.
