I really enjoy the social commentary that goes on.... even this episode.
But they have yet to beat the "Alien probe" episode.

I love South Park. That episode was a riot how they ended up just like the WOW (World of Warcraft) "Geek" guy. Also, Stan's father brought Stan the "Sword of 1000 Soldiers" to kill the geek guy. Oh Rich, I don't know about that, there are a LOT of funnier episodes I can think of, particulary in the end of the 7th season and the whole 8th season was down right hilarious.

They brought in psychologists to study how they could make the games addictive, and then we wonder why people lose their jobs and get evicted because they can't stop playing.

Here's another round of lawsuits on the way . . .

I think I know that WoW guy.

On the flip side, the funniest thing was watching Cartman whine through the dwarf's mouth.

Yeah that was a great skit and soo true of online RPG players. Anyone ever drive to the shopping center and find one of thoose video game lounges? I swear, if you are there at the right time, you'll find ten people that look like that geek guy sitting there playing online RPGs like WOW for 10+ hours straight! It is pretty bad.

I do it from home....
...but I have to say, "I've been there and done that"

I am an MMORPG fan through and through....

I can't ever start. I look close to what that guy looks like while leading a PRODUCTIVE life.

I'd be Jabba the Hutt in no time flat if I ever played a MMORPG.

That's why it's Madden for me - once the game is over, it's over, and it's pause-able. :)

I play WoW and by no means am I addicted, all by old counterstrike buddies are... I found the game to become quite tedious, good game though, however I prefer the strategy game. Funny ass episode, after spending a good deal of time in the "barrens" it was just funny as hell to me

Wait, let's see here. I can install a padded toilet seat in my napper/crapper 6000 easy chair, and have a fridge installed in the wall next to the CPU.

14 monitors all linked to make one big wall o'doom, and a BOSE system . . .

I can even get one of those human sized rodent food dispensers for cheetos.

GAME ON!

You forgot to get the upgrade from DSL to a straight up T1 Fiber connection!

...and Eye drops... any hard core gamer needs eye drops... and medicine for finger cramping....

My cousin got seriously addicted to EverQuest or "EverCrack" 10 hours a clip would be a quick game to him. He practically became nocturnal. He rarely showed up to work, He was living at home so he didnt have to worry about bills. He gained over 25lbs from being unactive and sitting in front of the screen all day. His GF finally threatened to leave him unless he put the game down.
To give you a idea of how much time involved, it takes months and endless hours to make a character a level 60.
He had 4 level 60 characters and 3 level 50+ characters
His real time counter clocked over a Years worth of time dedicated to this game. He still logs on from time to time but not as bad as he was.
When that South Park episode aired he called me and found it hysterical that it was so true to his life just a year ago.

I played Everquest and got up to level 19 before I punched out and got a life.

That was hilarious. Sadly, a friend of mine has a room with a LAN set up like that to play WoW. There are several of them playing at once and more people than computers. I don't believe they are that addicted though or atleast I hope not.
