So, I have a set of QA1's for the rear on their way. I was wondering if, because of the way this shock is positioned allowing extra clearance, would it allow for the MM rim to be widened to 10" without any problems? Has anyone done this before?
I took several detailed pics showing the clearance on the rear tires/wheels...I think those pics are off in 'la-la land' with a lot of other pics from 3 years ago. Due to the different contruction of the body on the QA1s (the shock body being on the lower end & the shaft being on the upper vs. stockers being the opposite) you should have plenty of clearance, Clarance.

Wouldn't want to hijack the tread but is there anybody that had put some 18" rims of the 9.5 or 10" width variety in the front ? If so, what was the offset, backspacing and or model used ?
Thanks

I am sure that would lead to rubbing under heavy turning.
