o.k. who is going to be the first to try this out. I have heard good things about this system and at 3K it seems alot less that the trillogy kit.

My mechanical skills are good but not up to this challenge and my wallet can't support this purchase right now - 2 kids in daycare

Someone take the plunge !!!!

I'll be doing this in a couple years after I pay off my Grand National and purchase my first Marauder. That three grand doesn't include everything though. . .only the turbo system itself. The installer will have to fab up both the new exhaust system and intake piping. I took a look at teamrope's car with this in mind, and I think it's doable. You'd want to mount the turbo in FRONT of the rear axle IMO, and you'd likely have to slightly relocate one of the cats to get the intake piping to fit without hanging down. Although it looked tight, it looked very possible. Another bonus with the STS system is that many customers are noting a 1-3 mpg increase in fuel economy (see the testamonial section), likely due to the reduction in pumping losses by recovering otherwise wasted exhaust energy.

You guys should check with Juno. He has a kit installed or is in the process as we speak. On his new built engine. dennis

IMO that's not a deal. There is no intake or exhaust piping included nor is there a tune. So you might not spend 3k on that but it will be close to 1500 by the time your done. Then you don't know how well it works or if the gains are worth it.

It's been pretty well proven on the SOHC 3-valve engine. . .so I think it'd be safe to say the results would at least be similar. . .

But it will cost more than 3k for sure. . . .

If it's a universal kit, then you're going to have a whole lot of work ahead of you should you choose it. Work that will likely include fabrication. So it's a trade-off. You don't get something for nothing in the HP game. that's all there is to it. kits like the Trilogy one cost a lot, but they have everytyhing you need right down to the last bolt, and the engine tune and detailed instructions have all been mapped out for you, and are tried and proven on well over 100 Marauders. Like I said, it's a trade-off. Just make sure what you might be up against before you take the plunge. ;)

Not a very good deal IMHO.
Things you would need.
Complete custom exhaust
complete cold piping (price silicone couplers sometime!!)
intercooler (if you want to go over 6 psi)
injectors
instrumentation
fuel pump/BAP
MAF
Tune
Oil return system????
A lot of skulfxxking to figure it out.
Plus miscellaneous little things.
The beauty of the STS system is that if you can mount a couple of twins back by the axles, all you have to do is snake the cold piping back up front. No messing with fans or extra heat under the hood.
The mustang twin kit might be a better starting point. I'd be willing to pass on what I have learned through trials and tribulations so far.

I paid about 5100 for my kit, plus instrumentation, tune, plugs. That included custom headers and bolt up piping to the exhaust and everything else you need in the kit.

Great! It's all layed out in the living room waiting for me to get back home. :D
I finally got the motor in and had to leave town on work for 7 weeks.
I am supposed to be back the 27th, but that is not looking good.
