As a teenager, my Dad worked for the Studebaker Motorcars Division up in Indiana. He always loved them...and now has the time to get a few and enjoy them. Below is 1 of 5 that he has...it's a 1963 Avanti with all original with an actual Studebaker 289 V-8 in it (after '64 and the sale Chevy v-8s were used). He brought this one up from Florida last night for Bryan to do the exhaust. Meanwhile...he's right now on his way to Alabama to pick up #6 (a 1949 Studebaker) that he's taking back with him on Friday to attend the big, Florida Studebaker Club meet in Jacksonville.

Avanti...one of my top 5 cars in one of my top 3 colors...very nice...congrats on the purchase to your pop...willie

That car looks amazing inside and out on all sides except the front, I still can't come up with what the designers were thinking there.

I think a lot of folks may agree...but to true Studebaker folks, they love it. Here's a couple pics of one of my Dad's other ones we did some time ago. I always say I can see some Mercedes, Jaguar and some Ford T-Bird in this Hawk.
