Very weird problem. When I got my engine installed all went well except that there seems to be some type of stickly liquid coming from the top of my right side floor shifter gage. It's right on top, feels and looks like honey. I wipe it off, but it comes back and actually cost me a light inside the gage. Does anyone know what could have caused this leak or what it is?

Lets not be silly about this... I was very excited about the new engine install too! :D

Right side floor shifter gauge?
Can you clarify this?

Is it getting hot?
Is there some glue melting?
Pull the pod out and look behind it.... now.

Just simply pull it? No tools required? The goo is coming from the top right above it and now from it.

Yeah, sort of.
Put the shifter into 1st, and grab the pod on both sides, pull back and up.
There are two clips, one on each side on the back end to deal with.

Then you can disconnect the harness clips.

Why would you not just call Zack? Do you have a REAL oil pressure gauge? Maybe you sprung a leak

Even the REAL pressure gauge has a electric sending unit so there is no oil line going up to the gauge.

Have you put a soda in the cup holder and then make a energency stop which made the soda fly forward and splash the gauges??
I have no idea what it can be unless you are shooting snot rockets while driving

My first thought was that the chick he was doing the other nite when the cops came up probally stashed her lipstick behind the pod....

Now I just noticed it is leaking from both. I just had the light changed on the volts and the whole unit it now loose. I will have this checked tomorrow and keep you guys and girls posted.

If that was the case I would have a bigger amount to clean up, but at least I would know the cause.

I found out the unit was loose just because it wasn't snapped back in the right way just like I thought. The goo appears to be glue melting from above the gages. I still don't know the cause sense this just started happening. Hey LOCO1234 are you a Ramones fan? They had a live album called Loco Live and well they always used to say 1-2-3-4!

Heres the theme song to my mess. Top song! :D
