I looked at a 2004 Silve MM at carmax yesterday and test drove it. Didn't really know what to look for. Was wondering if I could get up with anyone in my area and get a run down of things to look for when purchasing a MM.

Get up with RoyLPita for an oasis report on the car. This report will let you know of any problems that may have been found at the dealer. Welcome to the boards and good luck with the new ride.

I live about 1.5 hours north in Pittsboro and am
selling my 2003. See the Classifieds (http://www.mercurymarauder.net/classifieds/showproduct.php?product=624&cat=3&date=1141789008).
Being 22 I would first look at how much insurance
is going to run me since it is a "sports car".
Are you planning to deliver pizzas with this car?
Peace,

I've been on this board for awhile, I had just taken a leave of absence though since I got deployed. I'm wishing I could find somebody in the Fayetteville area but I'd be willing to drive to meet someone and talk about MM's and get some info that only owners of the car have. I know alot about the car but I had test drove a silver 2004 one at Carmax. It had all the options, heated seats, sunroof, and the fullsize spare so but I'm not sure if its a 300A or 300B. I forgot which ones made it which. Anyways, I'm trying to get rid of my 2001 Expedition and get a Silver MM. LoL, nah I wouldn't be delivering pizzas in it, I no longer work there. If any of you'll have some new info for me that you think I could use please let me know.
P.S. On the 2004 MM I had test drove, the brakes felt a little spongy and the seats were a different color than the interior. The seats were a tan/cream color while the interior was the dark charcoal. Heres the link to it on autotrader.com:

Looks like the flint interior which IMO is rare.

The cars description on the inside door opening wil tell the month of MFG...in either case, wheather 03 or 04, the previous owner put in a larger spare tire in the truck--cause all the Silver ones came with the donut.... as to the seat color being light--yes --this is the light flint that was one of the two types offered--the other dark charchol(sp)...........if ever in or around Charlotte, look me up---.....

I will definately do that, I really want that one but they are only offering me $7500 for my 2001 Expedition thats work almost $13,000 on KBB. I think I'm going to test drive it again and ask for more things about it. I'll take more pictures as well.

PM me with a number to call you and I'd be glad to talk about the MM's. I live in Cary so it's about a 1.5 - 2 hour drive from Fayetteville. Maybe we can meet at a cruse-in or car show?

That would be great and I do appreciate that gesture, mine is 910-583-5009. I have alot going on right now, trying to cram for the SAT which I have to retake on Dec 2, to get in school by Jan 07. If you know of any events around our way I could make the trip.
I'm also on YAHOO IM at DrkSkndWhtBoy or AOL at EnduranceBaller
