Nope, but I'll tell you this: If you have tires shipped, you WILL pay taxes (PST and GST). Depending on shipping method, you may have to pay brokerage (usually the more expensive shipping options include this in the price, or you can pay ~$80 depending on the carrier). Duty will depend on place of manufacture... When it's all said and done, you may not save as much as you think.
I have bought from Tiretrends.com (located in BC). Prices are pretty good, and the lack of PST washes with the shipping. Also provide you with a price to beat, when you go to the local dealers. Another option is local (to me at least) - SteelCase Tires & Mags (Near Woodbine and Steeles in Markham).

Thanks for the info. Every Canadian site I check its over $1000 for a set of 4. With conversion, taxes, and estimated duty/broker fees I am still less then $200 per tire from TireRack.
Any comments? I have tried local and had some crazy quotes of almost $300 per tire.
Thanks.

I just bought one front and one rear from TireRack. $79 for the front $139 for the rear, when all said and done it was $250 total. Next month after my AMEX statement closes i will do it again. then go get them mounted and balanced. I figure it will be $550 for al new rubber.

Its cheaper to drive there, install them and drive back..
Had mine done at Tire world Melanie drive Brampton
275 each for fronts and 350 each for rears..can't find
a reciept but pretty close..Pst,Gst and shipping/brokerage fees
expect $50 to $100 per tire.Cross border shipping sucks
It'll be cheaper to buy them here-my usual result..

There are where I am, and they don't have anything that'll fit my car.
I put out feelers 6 months ago for new rubber, starting at my SVT dealer in April to a local tire shop who came highly reccommended from a drift racing buddy of mine, yesterday.
D-Man, North of 49, there are not one set of BFG 245 55 ZR18's to be had. By any manufacturer I can find. If you want that size, get whatever is available, wherever you can get it! I'm even having trouble finding 255 55 ZR18's or 265 50 ZR18's in a KDW2.
My tires are bald, and judging from the weather forecast and lack of rubber, they will remain so until April. Cause today is the last day I'll likely be able to drive it safely till spring.
Did I mention that the stock tires are like rollerskate wheels when they get cold?

I have bought 2 full sets of wheels and tires from Discount Tire in Detroit. They will usually meet or beat Tirerack and if you time it right they will give you the same free shipping price at the store. I recently bought 2 sets of 17" wheels and tires for my Mustang and Mark VIII and both were about $800 US delivered to the store. I declared them and was charged PST and GST but all said and done big savings. I only have a 1 hour drive to Detroit but you would need to work that in. Whenever I call they are great and really seem to want to work with you. When I need new tires for my Marauder I am definitely going there....

What if you guys drive over the border and have the tires installed? When you drive back does customs really check to see if you have new tires?

If anyone is curious. I ordered my OE tires from Tire Rack on Tuesday. The entire set arrived today.
Cost:
Tire Rack: $535.56 USD
Taxes/Duty: $102.80 CDN
After conversion (using x-rates.com):coffee: it comes to approximately $177 CDN per tire.
I know it doesn't include installation, blance, valve stems, etc. However, if you can find them in Canada, you are easily looking at at another $75 more per tire.
Let me know if anyone finds something different. Cheers!

I would suspect that they would probaby never check, but I would rather be safe than sorry for the relatively small premium to be legal.
In my case I was keeping the original tires and rims for my other cars so it wasn't really an option as some of the tires/rims were in the back seat!
In a totally unrelated question, if anyone is running winter tires and rims and has the police type centre caps that attach to the lug nuts, where did you find the lug nuts and how much were they? My local dealer wants $8 each...

Yep, I've heard from $5-$8 each. I was fortunate to purchase my (used one season) winter package from member 5.0 with everything included.

My dealer quoted $170 each for CVPI steelies (double walled). I laughed. I just kept running the factory Aluminum rims on the CV, just like the past 14 winters.
