OK, just to let you guys know, I use my MM for law enforcement duties so no need to :flamer: about having strobes. After being on the night shift for 8 years, I finally gave day shift a try. I'm loving the normal hours, but the one little pansy roof light just wasn't cutting it during the day, so on went the strobes & LEDS. Check it out...

For the taillight and reverse lights, you should try switching the two reverse lights so that you have the left taillight flashing with the right reverse light and vice versa. I always thought that looked cool. But that's just my opinion.

First of all, I think you could lose the light on the roof. The others are more than enough and it takes away from the looks of the car.

Secondly, if those lights were going off behind me, I certainly wouldn't recognize it as law enforcement! I would think there was some kind of crazy light show going on!

Thirdly, I'm jealous as h*ll!

I totally agree. I've been meaning to play around with the sequence, but after all the headache of getting everything wired in, I said that is good enough for now.

I agree, but my employer wouldn't. The POS roof light is issued equiptment, that we are required to use. All the rest are extra (re: out of pocket)

If your using your personal vehicle for law enforcement duties what happens if you get in any accident while performing those duties?

Here you have to carry your own insurance to cover you while on details..

NICE!!

Looks like Close Encounters of the Third Kind going on when dark. There ought to be a few Epileptic seizures from the light show. :D

Its the Whelen 90W six way. I had the older 60W (fine for nightshift) but upgraded to the 90W.

Good question. No. Its a 2 piece bar that straps on/off. Takes only seconds to put on/off. When its off, you can't tell my MM from any other,...except our antenna on the back glass.

I carry the comp. & collision. Employer covers the liability. If I am involved in an accident off duty, I pay the decuctable, it it happens on duty, the employer pays the deductable.

Too bad you cant ditch the roof light. One question though, why no red strobe lights? IMO ,which has no LEO knowledge, red would look sick up front. Also everyone will be able to pick you up as a cop now they see your strobes behind your grill, could you move them higher or lower to be less obvious?

I would prefer blue in the grill but we have a policy of no colored lights in the grill so I'm technically not in violation since I don't have colored lights in the grill. The car/lights aren't set up exactly how I'd like it, but it is within out policy.:o

Those strobes looking good. I would like to add the rear deck light to my M.M too. Makes our rides more visible at night. Be safe bro, watch your six.....

Sup Mang,...:coolman: Just don't buy anything from GP Roadway Solutions. Their prices are literally "double" from what you can get on the www. Lemme know when you're ready and I'll link you to a couple of places.

Nice,, Its funny that those roof lights have not changed in 30 years! The top light looks like its still in the 70's compared to the new lights. I think you would make a million if you designed a new roof light.
You could do a LED panel thats round and keeps the same look (cause it the classic Hawaiian cop car look), but brings the light into this era. You could even set up the LED's to flash in a circle pattern.

Actually, the LED light you described is already in production. We are finally getting a "mini" version of the B&Ws light bar for the subsidized units, but it will take a couple of years to get to me. My safety can't wait that long!!:D See ya on Paradise Cruisers!
