Don't know if you have seen this. These guys put twin turbos on the GT and pulled 1012 HP on the dyno!

I posted a thread of that a while back, it's in this forum somewhere. His name is Joe. When he had the stock s/c on, I believe he had a 150 shot, tuned, full exhaust and intake, 3rd gear was clocked at 145mph, and still pulling.

He only made in the 800+ hp range with the supercharger and nitrous.

He just put a different shortblock in (more displacement) and made over 1100hp with the same turbos. Pretty small ones at that!

That GT is off the hook fast. I droped into a friends office today and he is a bigtime Vette head so hes watching videos of new Z06 Vettes beat up on most everything that rolls . I told him to pull up the Ford GT twin turbo video and nobody could believe how fast the speedo needle goes to 180+. Its entertaining to watch Z06 owners get humbled by a Ford.....

If the same money was spent on a Z06 the story would be different.

I still have my faith that the GT would hand the C6 it's ass.

I do hope that you mean Z6 (Z06 or whatever it is called). Moeny talks buddy. In real world prices, the GT is about three times the price of a Z6 and it is not three times better (or, as many will argue better at all). Why not just compare the GT to the new Aveo?

If money is no object when you compare things then compare the GT to this sexy son of a ....

Shora,

Is that the Ferrari that the Enzo was made into a "street legal" version of?

Shora,

I believe that it is the other way around. Rather, it is the not "street legal" version of the Enzo.;)

correct the FXX is the non street legal version of the Enzo.

Only made around 20 of them, for hand picked customers, at a price of around 1.8 mill.

some where in the leauge of 800 ponies.

this is all from the top of my head, but i think its right...

Dude, how can you even compare the GT to an Aveo? It's been proven, the GT is far better than a Ferrari, Viper, etc. on road courses. I mean, $1.8mil? Spend less than that on a GT and it will still own it x3. Personally, I'd take a McClaren over an Enzo, and a GT over a McClaren, it's a rarity and classic thing.

What else would I mean when I said C6 other than a Vette? What's a Z6? Do you mean Z06? If so, it's not that far off from a GT my friend. Go build one, it comes out to about $78k, and after taxes and all the fees will put it up well over $80k. IF you have that kind of cash, why not spend an extra $35k and get something MUCH cooler and more of a collector's car? That's a little dramatic from $125k to $1.8 million  when you compare the GT to an Enzo. And yet again, if someone were to get an Enzo, why not just go and buy the regular one for $1.2 million, save $6mil and mod the hell out of that and have it kill that FXX, and still have money left over?

Also, what's so good about the Enzo? Have you not seen this video of a Mercedes CLK with only an SLR engine swap done to it and proper tuning racing this stock Enzo? I mean, look at that CLK, every time he shifted, he put a car's length, or two on the Enzo, and that CLK cost a LOT less than that Enzo with that engine swap. http://youtube.com/watch?v=LqBHZTq0QN0

the thing thats good about the Enzo is that people know you think alot of yourself when you drive it.

teenage girls drive SLKs around here. they dont drive enzos.

So? To me, I would think more of someone who took a regular car, and made is incredible. Put that SLK and Enzo in front of me, and I'll compliment the SLK owner all day long, and compliment the Enzo owner once on owning a great car.

This statement is half right. Yes, you can get a dealer to sell you a Z06 for around $80,000.00 But you cannot get a GT for $125,000.00.

They MSRP for $145-150k and, like I said in my original post, you will not find any dealer to sell you one for that price. Hanse, you pay double or triple the price of a Z06 for not much improvement if any.
