Last week I was in Germany, primarily in Magdeburg. The trip afforded me a little time to travel, I did get to go to Wernigrode, Goslar and Berlin. Details in another post

Being a car guy I noticed there were still plenty of Trabaunts in Magdeburg

I am very glad to be back in the USA where I can chose to drive my slightly larger, safer and more powerful Marauder.

Jeremy:

Glad to hear you enjoyed your trip. Yup, those Trabants were (are) pretty interesting vehicles. If you wanted one you had to order it when you were born. Limited production, I guess and delivery was about 18 years.

Thanks,

Peter

18 years...and the colour was never the one you had selected.
Might be...but it was probably worth to wait. 30 to 40 y.o. Trabi's trade at 7 to 9,000 Dollars. Still in a good shape as the body was made out of plastic, and approximately 40 mpg.
Initial price was around 400 Dollars :D

Wish to see the value of my MM in 30 to 40 years ;)
