Spent the weekend at Virginia Beach. No Marauder, no MM.Net, no computer since last Friday. Just relaxation and fun.

Sunrise over Virginia Beach this morning ... before heading to breakfast overlooking the ocean and watching a school of dolphins playing....

People Powered Vehicle .... VA Beach has a very nice bike path that runs the full length of the boardwalk (which is really made of concrete)

Here's a very unique sign ... and they are all over VA Beach. Guess they are trying to curb some of the more "colorful" language that gets used "on the street nowadays".

Yeah, I missed the gang at the Hooter's Halloween meet too !!! :( The weekend was really enjoyable and the weather broke on Saturday morning to make a great weekend.

BTW -- the Freestyle is a monster. Passing is a breeze in the F/S. Even though it has only the 3.0L Duratek, she runs like a champ. From 60 to 95 mph is very surprising with the CVT. The thing just flat flies. :D

Still looks lovely, but changed as one would expect since 1962. Wow I wish I had paid more attention to how time works. Should have believed Albert. Dennis.. thanks for the pics Charlie.

Funny, but we have never been to Rudy's at Rudy Inlet. I see the powerboats docked over there during the big Offshore Racing week. We generally hit the restaurants like the Lighthouse at the Inlet, Blue Pete's, Mahi Mahs, Watermans, or the Duck Inn or Beach Club up at Lynnhaven Inlet.

You will not hit the Duck Inn anymore. They tore it down to make room for something or another.

Yeah, I heard that was coming. It's ashame because the Duck Inn was a trademark dating back to the 1950's. Obviously, the prime waterfront real estate was worth much more to the developers than any income from the restaurant (even with the big beach parties). I hope it sold for some BIG Bucks. :D
