View Full Version : Needin' Some New Shoes
Well, I figure that in a couple of months it will be time for some new tires. The past two sets I've put on have been Pirelli PZero Assymetricos, which I have liked in spite of the rather steep price. I have been running 255/50 all around, and I really like having a wide tire at each corner.
I checked Tire Rack's website for tires in the 255/50 size, and I found
Pirelli PZero System
Pirelli PZero Rosso
Avon CR227
Didn't see the Assymetrico anymore.
OK, for someone who wants to keep the big, wide tires, are there other options besides the above three? If I ever run on the track, it will be extremely rarely. I do a lot of highway driving, and of course, no worry about ice and snow down here. Anyone familiar with Avon? These are whitewalls, so I'd need to mount them inside out.
Opinions and suggestions, please? Thanks

Ross the PZero Systems are the Adssymetericos. Only problem is that they are backordered until Jan. 07.
They tried to seel the Avons to me also, the person on the phone said they were a Bently tire. I'll just wait for another two months for the Pirrelli.

255-50 are 18 inch tires? And they fit on the front and don't hit or rub anything?

Yep. I've had two sets of them and they fit just fine. Sarge turned me on to them a couple of years back.

I think that the height is still the same as the stock rear tires. I haven't had any problem (that I know of) as far as my speedo being off. I don't have TC, so that hasn't come into play.

Hmmmm, I guess Tire Rack doesn't sell Nitto's. Don't see them listed on the site.
