i just watched their Bold Moves video on how they build the Shelby GT500.

They keep reenforcing the point that the engine has to be installed in the same amount of time as the base level v6. To the point that I think they are quite proud of it.

Now if I were paying the premium price for a GT500, i would want to think that it was built with at least a little more care than a base model.

Built with enough care for a mass produced base model.

If I was going to pay 3 times the amount. I would want a bit more service. Halo/flagship/tentpole whatever you want to call it products should give the impression that they are different than your everyday product. They should be a little exclusive. Maybe I am wrong, but I think they are marketing it all wrong.
