WHEN YOU TYPE IN ALL CAPS THAT MEANS YOU'RE YELLING.

Your question is to broad. With so many options you just need to use the "search" function and see what fits your needs.

Welcome to the site. Anything and everything is right at your finger tips.

Please use the search feature on the site. The blower decision will have to be up to you.

Many S/C'r threads have been closed due to differences of opinions.

Search, search and search. And good luck.

Where are you located? Maybe update your profile so we know about where you are?

Mike.

You're talking politics and religion. Every one of those have very satisfied
drivers on this site and very, very few dissatisfied ones.

Like the man said, their is a wealth of information out their and your
decision will require some in depth research.

The really good part is we have at least 3 different sources here and if you stick with them you can't make a "wrong" choice.

It’s kind of like a candy store.

Good luck.

Contact all three of the following vendors:

Trilogy Motorsports (www.trilogymotorsportsstore.c om)
Reinhart Automotive (www.reinhartautomotive.com)
Forced Induction Technologies (www.superchargemyride.com)

Each has many happy customers and will be glad to help you make a more informed decision.

"This powerful supercharger will create up to 1.7 psi - all at the flick of a switch. And even though powerful, it will not damage your engine with overwhelming pressure - no bent/broken rods, no blow-by, no detonation - it is completely safe for your car's engine. Just flip the cockpit mounted switch at full throttle, and the powerful supercharger capable of running over 8000 rpm will supply your engine with all of the boost it will need. No need for a boost controller, or other expensive gadgetry - everything you need is in the kit. This supercharger's results have been tested with a precision accelerometer - don't be surprised to see your 0-60, 60ft, and quarter mile times decrease - and a double digit horsepower and torque increase."

I also know a great place to get exhaust work done. Cuz it's a big help when you s/c.

Depending on if you live near Reading, that is.

I love the Trilogy setup. I have had mine longer than any other member here, second only to the Trilogy Prototype Marauder. As you can see by my sig, it was detuned to 512 RWHP from 525 RWHP and is solidly into the elevens at the strip, all on a bone stock engine. That makes it the Hightest output Marauder with a safe tune on a stock motor. That should be a consideration.

That said, the other choices for SC are good choices as well, none of the kits have any obvious flaws or defects. You will have to do your homework and decide which is best for you. I dont know about anyone else here, but I wouldnt base a major mod purchase like a supercharger on what a bunch of guys on a website think. You have been a member here long enough to read up on the topic. I hope this isnt an attempt to start a big fight here, cause none of us will bite.

The ideal way to help you decide would be to ride in cars with each of the 3 blowers. Thats very well not feasible though. Your next best bet would be to contact all 3 vendors as they would be able to describe exactly what there kit has to offer. Other than that talk to owners of all 3 with any questions you have via pm. Id be glad to help but I only know so much about that kinda stuff. As far as the Trilogy goes I love it. Its a big chunk of money to drop at once on any modification to your car. But you will not regret it. MM's arent slow stock, a Trilogy equipped Marauder is ridiculously fun. I was scared the first time i rode in one. Your gas mileage will be affected more or less depending on the weight of your foot. As far as the Trilogy goes you will never know its there under normal driving, not until you get into boost then hold on.

4-29-05 w/ 44K.

% in that after about 50 runs down the 1,320' and 20K+ miles in 7-19-06 car was dynoed and the numbers were 443.8RWHP/380.7TQ.

Don't know where you are Ed but if you attend a MM meet you will find all kinds, get rides, maybe a drive and certainly lots of opinions which you will not find posted here anymore as food fights are no fun, not informative and counter productive. Drag meets are another great place to do the same. Great oportunity this weeked at Atlanta Dragway in Commerce, Ga. and Next week at MVIV in Kissimmi. Fl. Come to MVIV and you can drive my Trilogy, right AFTER Brian. Dennis:beer:

Here are MY thoughts:

A Centrifugal S/C will (generally) give greater HP/TQ up higher.

A Roots S/C will (generall) give HP/TQ down lower.

I have a Vortech Air to Air from Reinhart. I am happy with it. See my GARAGE (http://www.mercurymarauder.net/forums/vbgarage.php?do=view&id=4466) for the numbers and all.

Great idea about the meets, unfortunately I'm up in the North West corner of NJ. Can't find anyone local with a MM. I will be adding a SC. Want the performance as I was very unhappy at the track. 14.7 just doesn't cut it. I think I should move back to Tampa.

Any of them will do well "every day" as long as they are set up and tuned properly. Unlike breath, there is no such thing as bad boost. Only bad detonation. Lots of good advice, and humor, above. Read on. :burnout:

The centrifugal type blowers are a little easier to install than the roots type (Trilogy) because you don't have to remove the intake manifold etc. They typically bolt up to the existing throttle body.

To me getting a supercharger raises several questions...reputation of company...durability...1/8 mile...1/4 mile times...ease of install...available installers...looks...mpg...pri ce...if there are more please feel free to add too...it would be nice to have a comparison chart with these and other things on it for prospective buyers...all the ones that are sold on here have no big issues if I read all the owners correctly but it comes down to what do you want...willie

I love my F.I.T. P1SC Procharger kit. I have driven the car for 20K with the Procharger and ran consistant 12.3 and 12.4 ets. The car now has 30K and not one problem. All of the S/C offered here are great kits. It is all a matter of preference.

I have moved up a couple of notches with my new forged motor and a D1SC. I personally wanted more power than I achieved with the earlier setup. But, even now the goal is a car used 98% on the street and 2% on the track. The great thing about our Marauders is you can achieve this with any of these kits.

I'll take you at your word. IMHO, pick any of them, you can't go wrong. Vortech, Procharger & Trilogy are all popular here. The only whine I like to hear is from the above equipment. Kick the tires & light the fires. Good Luck!

The reasons I made my choice in superchargers;
I tried three supercharged Marauders, before I made the move to ownership.

One was a Kenny Brown Marauder (thanks Mac)
The other two were Trilogy.
Thanks Jerry B. & Big Slim.
Feels;
I liked the way, the car felt so close to mild mannered, until the go-go pedal was leaned on past halfway.
The Trilogy tune feels flawless, through out the entire spectrum.

No sound; I preffered the; no noise at idle, all sleeper for me!

Sound; I love the whine, the TMS blower makes.

Looks; The Trilogy looks like it is integral, the centrifical looks like it was added.

Design and engineering;
The kit was designed on CAD computer, all parts were developed to fit perfect.

Support; Who is the guy(s) responsible for customer satisfaction?
Jerry Barnes and Lidio, Both are stand up guys, who will help you, on a moments notice.

Lastly, if you ever get a chance to meet the folks from Michigan that call themselves MCM'ers, On my three visits to Michigan last year, They treated me like family.
I say, drive them all if possible, and decide for yourself.
