I put my Lidio tuned SCT Xcalibrator 2 and my JLT CAI last week. I have been really impressed with the power gains and driveability. Next week I'm putting my DR Cobra exhaust, steeda underdrive pulleys, 3.90 gears and some new control arms. Anybody have feedback as to what my driving experience will be like. I definitely am racking up a pretty big bill on these parts, but i'm a go fast freak and knew i couldn't leave the Marauder alone for long. It's all (except the pulleys) building blocks toward a supercharger when I get back from my next deployment. Thanks for any feedback, I just wanted a to express my giddiness about my new parts.

I think you will be sorry you did not go with the 4:10 gears at a minimum. I put them in several weeks ago and they worked so well I am now seriously considering a swap to the 4:30s. My mileage actually seems to have improved as I live in a semi mountainous area. Plus the r's are still pretty low at 75-80mph. I did have to do the DS though... Oh yeah you might as well go ahead and send your SCT back to Lideo so he can program it for whatever gear you decide on otherwise your speedo will be off a hair... He charged me $40 to load the tune for that...

I'm going to second the 4.10 opinion. I would say with a S/C the need for the 4.10s might not be as important... but on an N/A car... 4.10s or even 4.30s. These are big, heavy cars, with only 281 cubic inch engines. They need the extra GRUNT the gears provide. I'm on 4.10s and wouldn't think of going back to less.

I have had 4.10's for 3 years now and kinda wish I did the 4.30's instead. As noted you GOTTA do the driveshaft if you run 4.30's. 4.10's you can get away with the stock one.
you may need to re-tune after the exhaust mod, i may be wrong but i thought with "Lidio's" stock tune you can add the intake or exhaust but not both, i think your a/f ratio will change. i thought i read that in a thread or two some time ago.
Ford gear sets go up in 5% increments, so as a rule of thumb you will increase your torque at the wheels and your rpms by roughly 5% every time you step up. 3.90's are not a stock Ford gear set, for some reason they skip from 3.73's to 4.10's. Are you getting Motive or another reputable gear set?
So from 3.55's to 3.90's you will see roughly a 10% increase in torque at the wheels and 10% increase in highway RPM's with stock size tires. Say you are turning 2400 rpms at 80 in OD, you will now be turning 2640 or so with the 3.90's and another 120 rpm with the 4.10's.
If those extra RPMs don't matter, then that is fine. You will see a noticeable grin :D increase out of the hole with 3.90's or 4.10's. I have driven an NA marauder with 4.10's and it is fun for sure!
I went with 3.73's as I did not want the extra rpms on the highway. Down here in FL, highway speeds run close to 85 a lot of the time. I also intended to get a power adder so a smaller gear was not that important.
A torque converter will add about 20-30% torque out of the hole initially also.
Plan your mods with the end in mind! It will save you some money in the long run.

You are going to like each and every mod, you chose!
It's going to feel like a different car.
