It seems to get good reviews from www.camcorderinfo.com (http://www.camcorderinfo.com). Just wondering if anyone here uses one.

I have a DVD Camcorder (records to mini DVD's). It's a Hitachi DZ-MV730A. Got it on eBay for less than $300.00. The mini DVD's record 30 minutes of video and there is an SD slot that you can save your still pics to.

I'd suggest going the DVD route instead of digital tape. To play the MiniDV cassette's, you'll need to either use the camera or transfer to another medium.

If you want to edit, get a MINI DV or hard disk based camcorder.
if you want to just take quick vids and watch them, get a Mini DVD.

It seems like a decent camera for the price. Does 16:9 widescreen and has the IEEE (Firewire) out for connecting to a computer for transfer. Low light situations might be a problem with only a 1/6" CCD.
