Today is dedicated to get the silver MM ready for MVIV.
My first application of Zaino was six months ago.
Is it necessary to start from the beginning of the procedure (Dawn, claybar, etc.) or can I skip a few steps?
The paint still looks good, and beads up well.
Any comments are appreciated.

No need to start over. Once you have done the initial prep and application, from there you can just add coats of your preferences (Z2-Pro or Z5). I would highly recommend the user of the Z6 after regular washings and between applications of coats of Z2 or Z5.

No need to start from scratch unless you have a ton-o-crud embedded in the clearcoat.

Just wash and dry then;

I would put on a couple of coats of Z2 or Z5 and then Z6. Some NeverDull(? I think that is what I use small can of smelly stuff) for the tips, Meguiars Hot Shine for the tires and then Stoners for the windows.

If you have time, desire pull the wheels for a clean and wax:banana2:

Thanks gents, just what I needed to know.

The wheels WILL be pulled. That makes a big difference with these wheels when the inside rims are clean!
By the way Jeremy, what is this "Stoners" of which you speak?

Carefully observe the paint and spot clay as needed. You can skip the dawn wash, but do wash the car with z7 both before and after any claying. This will leave the finish in excellnt condition for applying the following polish(es) I also then like to give the car a wipe down with z6, then z8, then I am ready to apply the polish(es)

Wipe the car down before/between each and
every coat of z2pro or z5pro (or switching from z2 to z5) with either z6 or z8. I prefer to use z8 for the increased gloss and depth.

You will want to always follow up any applications of z5pro with at least 1 coat of z2pro for best optical clarity.

Also, I highly recommend using the ZFX additive. Makes each coat go much faster, so you can get more layers on in less time.

I have the ZFX additive, and have both Z2 and Z5.
Is zfx compatible with both?
