Optimistic, but no such luck. I'll come home from a year in Korea at the end of January, and I'm already loaded to be back over there by July. For better or worse, that whole area is going to be a major factor in all our lives for many years to come.

Has it stopped the bombings ?
Has it stopped the threats ?
Has it gotten rid of Al Queida ?

This is a problem that has been around for centuries.
It is not going to go away in a year or two.
It is going to be here for our lives and probably a few generations more,
before someone figures out how to deal with it.

If we had dropped the bomb there a few years back,
we would have probably gotten 95% of the terrorists then.
We missed our mark, so now we have to deal with it this way.
