Orienteering, or Daddy are we lost?

Had a nice get-together at Porkys, a great day before the snow flies here in MN!

We then headed over to Lake Elmo Park for some orienteering. Basically map reading and finding control (signs). We got off to a rough start with #1 Daughter reading the map. She could not tell north from south and we spent 10 minutes on the wrong side of a trail:help:

Once we got the hang of it we had more fun

Luckily no one got posion ivy or deer ticks.

Next time we can tackle the advanced course!
