At the track yesterday;
The wrecker was loading a Magnun SRT-8, on to the flatbed.
I talked with the owner briefly, he said it left him(failed) at the start line.
He claimed the trans or something else, driveline related , was the culprit.
He would have been a close match, ran the same as my best 13.4, that day.
His answered, personal best was 12.8.
The Car had Drag rear wheels and drag radials.
I did not get to talk to him about his mods, but I think he had more than wheels and tires.
Made me feel greatful, I got to drive my Marauder home.

Yeah thats a great feeling because all of the Dodge Boys had to wait to race all day @ SSHV while the "Marauder Carnage" was cleaned up. Thats what they said it thier LXforums and it was true. I lost to a SRT wagon that was laying down 13.30s and it still had the window sticker up. Those Dodge SRTs are very formadable adversaries ...Thank god they cant figure out how to crack the computer open yet and reprogram...425hp stock!

When they do "Crack The Computer" they will BREAK the drive train!!!:eek:

Chrysler uses "Torque Management" to hold things together.....that is they momentarily kill the ignition at WOT shifts to keep the load within the drive train specs!!:cool:

If they shifted as hard as my Marauder they would not make the first Factory service.....A Chrysler sales guy told me all of this and it makes sense since the "Hemi" we drove did very "Slushy" shifting!!:confused:
