How many of us know of the best punk band in the world The Ramones? Well I know some of us do and I had the chance to give Marky Ramone the drummer a ride in the Marauder. We are actually friends and he has been in my Marauder before, but a few days ago he came into down so we drove around and I drove him to the airport.

The first night we went to Applebees and he was like "Into the "Marauur" (thick new york accent) So yea that was fun. I asked how he was getting to his next gig and he told me he was taking a flight the next day, but had no ride. I offered and he accepted and his singer too. (From Osaka Popstar. A combo of different people from different punk bands)

So I got there right on time and we were listening to Doo Wop music the night before and songs like Beep Beep on the way to the airport. Just a box set of nothing, but car songs. Marky is a gearhead himself. The FELONY was that we were yelling at random people with my 100 watt PA and the best was telling the construction workers go get back to work. I see no harm in the PA, but some might stick me with impersonating a police officer which is a felony, but the cops that know about it think it's funny and cool that I have it.

The Pictures are from O'hare airport and Lake Shore Drive by Soldiers Field. So there you go. A Ramone loves our Marauders!

If you still don't know who The Ramones are listen to a song called I wanna Be Sedated... I'm sure you'll know it once you hear it.

Dude...Where's the felony? Like everyone who had a C.B. radio in their cars back in the '70s, had external PA stuff too. Maybe not 100 watts, but...Not news.

The felony would be if I was trying to be the poilce which I was not. Either way I don't see any crime sense we weren't ordering people around or telling them to get down on their knees. :D

lol I think it's funny that you think it's cute having a PA yelling at people. Be glad you never have to go through the neighborhood I grew up in. In fact the other night in the parking lot at the cinema some joker had one yelling at people to hurry up... I was not impressed, and I don't think his girl thinks he's quite as cool after we had a "chat". Be careful out there little boy, there are grown men who don't think you are cute

The Ramones were formed in Forest hills Queens which is one town over from where I grew up. I have never once said Marauur even with my heavy NY accent!

Cool pics but please, Dont kill one of the last Ramones with your driving!!

Really. I spent 7 years working on the south side of 8 mile, and if some dumb*** white boy in a black car thought he was "cute" yelling out the window... well, come to Detroit and try it.

Those are great pics. I actually saw the Ramones at the Darrington (about 75 miles NW of Seattle) Classic Rock Festival back in August. They still sound good.

Isn't he last last one left????

I remember him. I met him backstage at Buff State College, oh, back in 1983....

He, like me, has gotten old.

I hope no one throws a rock at your car after you scare teh crap out of them.....

Tommy, Ritchie, CJ and Elvis Ramone are still around. No one has thrown a rock at my car yet because I always say this stuff as we are driving so theres no chance to pick up something and throw. By than I am already gone. GreekGod who told you that about New Yorkers? Was it a source from New Jersey?

Very cool Dominick!

I recently filled that void on my iPod.

Too bad you weren't able to Maraud them down to Exit this evening.:(

I feel the need to pay Exit an homage.

Oh and don't sweat the "try that on 8 mile" stuff.

After spending a summer of weeks near the corner of 8mile and Telegrapgh...I have hollered on my PA countless times.;)

He has before and I offered him, but he didn't want to this time. He said he didn't have his glasses. To me it looks like he did, but I don't know. I'm still a happy camper! If he left a safty pin on the seat I would never take it off. :D

This isn't a felony if you think about it. If you did that in a Civic nobody would call you on impersonating... but in a panther chassis then of course it is because it LOOKS like a cop car... but I digress.

Just be careful and have fun... don't cause anything medical (heart attacks and the like). Looks like you had alot of fun there and btw, I love your jacket.

Try any of the sites that tend to have young members....you'd think that you were in the midst of a pack of drunk e.e. cummings.

Grammar, especially spelling and punctuation, must be optional in today's schools.
