95 vic is my current car

and *********, i want to convert to the dark side

marauder came into a shop i do some stuff at, such as phones, and im the guy who knows panthers, and i took a look at it, i asked the owner if i could test drive it,

holy ****ing ****

the enviroment, everything

(he needed a new thermostat, the one that we installed a few weeks ago decided to stay open)

i got on it, the exhaust note was enough to buy it

it is the modern day muscle car

now point me towards one, the price, problems, school me

I want one, and im willing to spend around 10k MAX

And, how bad is insurance on these things

You are 15 and have a car in your name?

You want a Marauder?

You want to convert to the Darkside?

It will take more than 10k to buy a nice, used Marauder.

Insurance will kill you, just as your parents would for the way you swear. (Which has been edited by me)

Welcome, and use the search function. All the info. about our cars is at your finger tips.

ok, i know i have to watch the language

its just, i dont have the car in my name, but it is mine for that matter, i paid for it

i have been saving up alot for one, and i probobly should more.

I have a 1930 model A ford my grandpa laft me, that we were restoring. I took some of the old junk spare spare spare parts that we had a ton of, i fixed them, and sold some on ebay, thus the 10 grand.

One of those engines will fetch a ton.

anyway, insurance isnt bad on the crown vic, but the name, valvetrain, pistons, and exhaust really causes it to rise up that high?

We are more than happy to assist you. Just relax and knock off the swearing and the attitude.

This is not the place to make up for not swearing in 'real life'. ;)

my first car was a 96 cv (p71) and loved it, roomy, fast (i though so at the time) and fun for a 16 yr old.... time and wisdom lead me into cars, and when i marauder came out, it was like someone read my mind, throw a cobra motor in a cv and put some nice wheels on the outside of a luxury interior. BAM one of the finest cars out there ( in what i could ever afford)

i paid 20k for mine, i only drive it once or twice a week because i live on gravel and WILL NOT take it 4 mi on gravel every day, its too nice, but even paying off a 20k weekend driver... its so worth it

if you really want one, pony up the money and keep your eyes open, my only thought is if your only 16, your gonna get hurt, maybe physically, and definately in the wallet, save up more, wait till your 18th birthday and then go out and buy one, wisdom is golden and youll be ably to afford one then

and just dont cuss at all.... your not a saylor

Insurance will eat you up because of your age, not the car. My insurance went up less than ten bucks a month moving from a 2001 CVLX to a 2003 Marauder. Of course I am well over 40. :) You are cursed with being under 25 years of age. That's usually when your car insunace rates will drop.

I don't think insurance will be too bad 03 is listed as a grand marquis. :D

At that price, one with about a 100k miles or a salvage title will be your best bet. Aside from the rims here is a blue one that is close to your price. http://www.autotrader.com/fyc/vdp.jsp?car_id=212346949&dealer_id=4382451&car_year=2003&model=MARAUDER&num_records=25&make2=&start_year=1981&keywordsrep=&keywordsfyc=&engine=&certified=&body_code=0&fuel=&search_type=both&distance=0&color2=&make=MERC&color=BLUE&min_price=&drive=&default_sort=priceDESC&max_mileage=&style_flag=1&sort_type=priceDESC&address=33176&advanced=y&end_year=2007&doors=&transmission=&max_price=&cardist=1174
But I would be willing to be it has a salvage title.

Jesus, this kid again?

That's at least three main Panther platform car websites he's now on! (And I believe he's already banned from one, and could very well be banned from the other)

Be aware guys, this kid is not very bright. :banned:

I meant bigr5026, and I'm just informing you all that he has caused problems in the past on numerous other websites, nothing more.

If you don't believe me you can check for yourself.

Vin is right, this kid has caused much hassle on 2 out of the 4 main panther sites thus far, and has worked his way over here now.

Yeah, this is true. I find it funny how, after I bought my Marauder back in May, I've been getting correspondence from Extended-WArranty companies who address my car as a 2003 GRAND MRQUIS.

I laugh and then throw it out.

If you don't know about this guy and want to read what everyone is saying... go to http://www.crownvic.net/ubbthreads/showflat.php?Cat=&Board=UBB23&Number=1302388&page=&view=&sb=5&o=&fpart=1&vc=1 and also follow the link in the thread that says "i dont know what's funnier.. .the magically changing VIN number or (link here)". It'll explain why most people on CVN don't like him. He's made a serious attitude change over on CVN, stopped posting in all caps and has been listening to advice much more... he still occasionally posts an answer to a tech question without actually knowing the truth... but then again quite a few people post what they are fairly certain on and later correct themselves after a bit of searching... give him a chance guys. Unless you wanna ban him on sight... either way it's up to you to form your own opinion.

Very true, but he's been known to make blanket statements before(most of them are wrong) on Motorcraft parts as well, Hell he's banned on CVU already just because he annoyed everyone too much.

If you'd like I'll post the thread where one of the mods exposed bigr5026 for who he really is.
