As will happen sooner or later here in NY, I had a run in with a taxi cab last night. Numbnuts should'nt even be driving as he did'nt seem to be fully aware of what was going on. I took a really good shot to the passenger side but luckily no one got hurt. This is on the highway no less and I never saw him comming. Following to close, speeding, I just dont know. I figure if I kill him, I may get out of lockup by the summer. Thats going to depend on what Allstate tells me later today. Any fellow New Yorkers going northbound on the FDR keep an eye out for my fender badge. Ill need it back after the repairs. Feel better after venting. Now to deal with wife.com . Reddog.

Reddog, sorry to hear about your incident with the cab. Hope all works out well with your insurance company. Soon everything will be back to normal.

Where ya been hiding? Haven't heard much from you since we all gathered at Bennigan's for Ray's Car Cruise in April 2004. How's that "little dog" of yours doing??

Hey Bluerauder funny I know what you mean when you say everything will get back to normal, I hit a deer Last Thanksgiving mornig down by you. Exit 142 on 95 headed south just before Fredericksburg. I was on my way to North Carolina to see my parents for the Holiday. I refuse to look at the pictures of the damage to this day.

Whats up Bluerauder, I hope all is good with you and yours. I've been working my butt off the past year or more. Me and the better half have been trying to furnish the new diggs and lots of new projects at the job. That little dog is now about 80 pounds and eating me out of house and home. Jabo, while it might as well have been at that screwed up U.N exit, it was a bit further uptown by the 90's. You know where it takes a sharp left hander around 96st. Funny thing, this guys driving a crown vic and after all was said and done tells me I have a nice car. Aksed the highway officer if I could borrow the service 9mm and let him have it but he said that may not be a good idea. Waiting to hear from Allstate and get my baby back. A few days off with a fresh bottle of Jack Daniels and I'll be fine, Thanks guys, Reddog.

Sorry to hear about that one too. That area of I-95 (both north and southbound) are notorious for deer strikes. Lots of deer in the Quantico Marine Base area that are protected and they frequently cross from one side of the highway to the other with rather disasterous results.... as you unfortunately found out.

I used to make that trip every morning and evening when my office was located in Stafford (Exit 143). Now I am making the trip north everyday. More traffic; but less deer.

Reddog it will be alright. Make sure you go to the right bodyshop what ever that is. In my situation I was able to get the car back to the Dealer in Chapel Hill, NC where i bought it. They have a first class garage there and they fix it with FMC products down to every single plastic. Anyway good luck with your fix.

And Bluerauder you best bet that when I come through your area my eyes are stretched wide open looking for deer.
