On the way home from Gainsville race track, Maraudervile 4 Defyant and I were seperated from the group at a toll booth,I noticed he had a GPS unit in his car so Alex and I decided to follow him back. We exited the toll road and the unit took us thru the winding roads of Central Florida freashly paved it was like road course driving, but the real thing, nobody else on the road.
Defyant drove that 4300 pound beast like a corvett it was hair raising just trying to keep up. ask Alex. For those in Maryland don't run from this guy you will be apprehended and delt with accordinglly. You will have your a$$ handed to you. I hope Defyant Finds his way back to Florida soon.

He does excellent convoy escort and fly-by duties, too. :D

I thought I broke him of listening to the woman in the "glove compartment" giving bogus directions to dead end streets.

He became my hero on the convoy to Milan. He's a machine at the strip too.

LOL!!

Good times indeed! I look forward to my next excuse err, reason to get back to Florida - and Atlanta.

As for the lady in the glove box, she got me all the way to Atlanta on to Orlando and all around Florida. Funny thing with GPS is, you can not rely 100% on it.

Oh yeah, definitely. I've seen my Garmin once tell me to make a turn where you couldn't and a few times where the address was off by a few hundred feet and even on the opposite side of the road.

Nothing is perfect and it's even harder trying to keep up with construction and businesses moving all the time.

Definitely money well spent though. The most useful piece of electronics I had in a long while.

On a side note, anyone here driven on the Tail of the Dragon? I was just watching some videos of that recently. I wanna do that at some point. Like the American version of the Nurburgring. :D Except you can't drive that fast on it, legally. :(

I did tail of the dragon back in March. It was lots of fun till about 1/2 way when I got behind an 18 wheeler who (like a dummy) listened to his dispatcher and told him to take that route.
You really have to be careful on that road. Dumb truck drivers.:mad2:

Supposed to be a hoot to drive, but you have to reign in your enthusiasm knowing that it will take at minimum 45 minutes for an ambulance to reach you if something happens.

Of course, it's no wonder he's a terrific driver; what with all the distractions, the lady in the Garman *bing* off route, recalculating, not to mention the kids, dog, and goodwife screaming at the top of her lungs to watch out for the: cops, stop sign, speed limit, curve, pothole, truck, kid on the bicycle, all the while grabbing the dash and stomping her right foot on the imaginary brake pedal
.......ask my Barbara how I know this ...

Oh yea, I had the privilege of witnessing this first hand, along with all others who attended Gainesville-Raceway, he was very, very consistent on the 1320, back-to-back-to-back 12.4's.......Awesome !:burn:
