Hey Gang,
It seems as though there is reason to believe that the 2004 MM will continue on as planned.
I was at my LM Dealer today getting the 6CD changer installed back in the car and mosied into the Parts department. For the heck of it I asked the parts guy what the cost of different color Leather MM seats would be. I wanted to find out the Cost on Charcoal...because I have Flint....(BTW the price is nuts)
So the guy goes looking in the parts stuff under Marauder...for the seats and colors. He asked what color were you looking for...I said the charcoal. He said well there are 3 colors....Hmmm I said...3 colors....what are they....
He says Dark Charcoal, Flint and Parchment. I was like...what the heck is Parchment. He said it is new...it is like a tan color.....which would match perfect with a RED colored car....tan interior...or something fancy called Parchment. My expierence has been....Parts like that don't make it into the system until the car has already been slated to be made.
So I thought I would let everyone know the good news....at least I see it as that way.....I am looking forward to seeing the red.

I've said it before, I'll say it again, Dealerships know jack squat about the future of anything. Marauder and Grand Marquis parts are all shoved together in the parts computer, which is why he found 3 colors. The Parchment is only available on grand marquis.

Yeah, you meant well though, and that's appreciated. I must have gotten the same mental pic you did. I'm not a fan of light interiors, but it did sound sweet.
All right BigDog, drop the half vinyl top, put your hands on the car, spread 'em...What you're thinking is a crime!

Yeah well....it really stinks that the guys who sell the stuff don't even know what is what.....I sell stuff for a living and I am constantly learning and educating myself on products so that I am the "authority" on our products and if there is something I don't know...I know who to call and get a definative answer....That theory seems to be lost on Ford...or at least the LM division.....
But the Marauder is still sweet.... :D

No way, they don't know squat!! I was poking around the parts department yesterday and the guy told me flat out they're always the last to know anything about the "demise" of a vehicle.

Just followed a Marauder with a full conv. simulated top, Lakeshore Dr. at Vernier. Didn't look bad.

You wanna know what's bad...the local L/M dealership down the street from me asked if my CVPI was an MM no joke. I couldn't beleive it! I guess it was my MM-like SS tips that threw him off! LOL. Talk about not knowing anything about the product they sell.

Seems to me if they were going to kill it, they would have announced it by now. The 2004s are right around the corner. They already announced the demise of the T-Bird, and that isn't happening for a couple years.
I can't wait to hear it from the man himself in Texas.
Better sign up to come folks...we're NOT going to post his answer here

It'll be nice to see Steve, but he's also not Marauder's brand manager anymore... I fully expect that Marauder will not be renewed past 04, if it makes it into 04 production.
Remember that the only significant change is the addition of a different paint, so that should already tell you that very little money's been spent on the program.

That's true, but there aren't any significant changes in the finalised '04 Order Guide from the draft Order Guide either. The only one I think is the stereo option
