View Full Version : Supercharger Competition

I was reflecting back when there were just two Supercharger vendors on this site and you the members had two choices. You could choose a roots style blower or a hair dryer blower air to water kit.
I than came out with our F.I.T. kit with air to air and our hairdryer style blower. We don't have to run specials but I want members here to get a great deal and want to make the competition do the same. I don't want the competition to get lazy but to do something about it. Well they are doing something about it, one came out with an air to air kit and now one has offered a first time ever special price. That is why competition is good and good for any Marauder owner on this site.
Speaking of competition, I am in the process of researching a roots style blower that we will offer if we can be priced quite a bit below our competition. There are alot of Ford part numbers to get pricing on. WOW!

Competition is indeed a good thing.
The truth is, all of us would probably be very happy with any of the kits that are available to us. At some point, it's like splitting hairs.
"Sir, would you like curly fries or regular fries with that burger? Cheese or no cheese? Coke or Pepsi?"
And the worst part is, most of us have to make these decisions without the benefit of firsthand experience. We generally have to trust what someone else tells us they like the best and why they like it the best. So, do you like Coke or Pepsi better? And why?
Pepsi for me, thanks. But Coke will do just fine, too.

Charlie I am not trying to sell any thing. I am just saying that my Marauder at 9 PSI makes 460 RWHP, and the car runs great, and yes you have a great time as well, 11.98 at 115 MPH my personal best is 11.63 at almost 118 MPH.
And I know there are Procharged cars that can and do, run as well as both of us, I have a built motor here for my car, and I have plans on turning the boost up later on, but I have no plans in installing a cage, which is a must at the 11.49 ET
So to each his own, I think all three kits are great.

This will be the last threat I ever respond to in this area. This ^^is what I have always continued to say here....But there are those that are "stooged & Lovin it"(good for you Dennis, no offense either) as well as other one-sided blower dedicated/oriented people here that they do everything in their stooged power to influence others in "their brand." Being in the minority in this area I have seen and personally experienced it for two years. This whole issue has gone so far overboard it has as a result; created loss of friendships (too bad), manufacturer cliches (although not so in the hairdryer groups IMO), website swaps (MCM), foolish and childish post retaliations with obvious hidden meanings, avatars and more. In one way it makes me laugh, the other it is truly sad. I may have been part of this in some ways, for that I apologize to all of you, but I never have been malicious in my intent. In time, it does tend to force defensive responses with the above mentioned areas.
For example, AstroVic made every effort to buy a F.I.T. kit with 2 - $500 discount coupons from winners of the MV IV Raflle. This from an already deep discount that Greg offered for a F.I.T. Kit. He stated he had no money and then turns around and buys a discounted ($400.)Trilogy kit. Obviously certain people were on the phone or via PM with this situation. (No need to defend yourself AstroVic, I am cool with your decision and best of luck with your forthcoming Trilogy #150.) I am truly happy for AstroVic that he decided to purchase Trilogy kit # 150. Nothing like another blown Marauder on the streets. I like Jerry Barnes, he is a stand up guy and a straight shooter as well. Trilogy is a great kit. AS is, F.I.T. and DR's. Period.
But it would be nice to see the behind-the-back bashing stop for the other s/c choices people make, have made, or decide to make. Greg, I really think that this thread should be closed. It is going in the same usual direction the S/C threads go, manufacturer loyalty based. Supercharger Competition??
