That photo was taken at Naval Station Charleston, SC in 1978 when I was attending York Centrifugal A/C training at the sub school there. Not many tin can sailors went to that school back then. Think the base is closed now, my old ship was sunk as a target and my old Torino, well, I hope she's still around...

A neighbor of ours had a 69 Ranchero Cobra GT Squire that he babed when I was growing up. That thing was SWEEEEEEETTTTT! Wish I had that car today.

Some young kid who lives in your area will say he remembers your marauder could of had it for a song but he was workin at mcdonalds and just didnt have the cash.:D

Those Barracks in the background are gutted now...Too much asbestos...that end of the base is fairly well stripped clean and a ghost town. Waterfront is gone...except for Pier Zulu ( built in '89-Base closed by BRAC '92 )...yeah...the memories....glad I am up @ Weapons Station...

Yeah, times have changed... At MMIV I was going to drive by NTC, but hell, its not only closed but completely gone now. That place was almost new when I went back in 74. We live in a different world now.
