I'm recovering well from the first hip replacement. My stride has increased, my pace has sped up, and I hurt less than before the surgery. In fact, I hurt less a few weeks after the surgery than I did before. I can walk without the walker and I can get around pretty good. So, it's time for the next step.

On Tuesday, December 19, nine weeks after the right hip was replaced, I will have the left hip replaced. Plans are similar to the last time, surgery on Tuesday, and going home Friday afternoon.

I thank all of you who have been so supportive. This episode in my life is about half over.

I'm recovering well from the first hip replacement.

Dan, glad to hear that things are progressing well for you and that you are experiencing less pain. That's a good thing. :D Best wishes on Phase 2 of your upgrade. Will be keeping you in my thoughts and prayers. New struts oughta significantly improve your 1/4 mile times. ;)

Dan, our prayers and best wishes continue. My 86 year old mother can still kick your azz.:D But, not for long, bud. Keep on working hard on the rehab. I remember when I was a teenager the light string in the pantry was about a foot over Mom's head and she could kick it. I wonder if that was the hip she had replaced a couple of years ago? Be careful getting down the chimney on the 25th. All the best. Dennis
