This is a pic of the Ford 427 concept car - looks very close to the 300c production car from Chrysler.

you know it's not too late for ford. with the strech 300's looking to do double duty as livery cars as well as streched ones as limos this could be the replacement for the panther platform that ford keeps talking about. with real differentiation between ford/lincoln/mercury this could be the new large RWD sedan that could refresh the blue oval. The 500 could be the midpriced sedan with the 427 as the big brother. There is still penty of room in the market for large sedans.
with fuel prices still hovering around 2.25 thrown in cylinder shut off and tons of power on demand and let the sales ring up.

Yes, you are correct, both Ford and Chevy had famous 427 engines. When I viewed the picture of the car on my computer at work, the picture itself, and the Ford ovals were very distorted, appearing to look like the Chevy "bow ties." As I look again at the picture on my home computer, the insignias are very clearly Ford ovals. Thank you.

The person responsible for the 300C design is Ralph Gilles at Chrysler, promoted this year to a Vice President position at Chrysler. I can't find any information that suggests he has left Chrysler and now works for Ford.

I'll see if I can find the article I read it in. But it really isn't that important. If the 300 represents his typical design 'style', I'd just as soon he stay at DCX.
