View Full Version : Where can I get an RPM signal....

...for my EBOOST 2. It can also serve as a super accurate tach and the rpm signal allows some advanced features for boost mapping, etc.

I am looking for a square wave pick up point.

Any wire at any coil or fuel injector that is NOT red or red/light green will be your tach signal. Remember to multiply the signal for 8 cylinders.

I picked up the rpm signal for my Dynojet Wideband Commander from the connector on the driver's side firewall (pin #3, COP cylinder #4).

No, that is the PPM wire and measures pulse per mile for speed dependant volume. It is gray/black.
isn't there also one that goes to the Radio?

See the 2nd post on that thread. The WBC came with some 3-M Scotchlok t-taps. I hadn't ever seen them before... they work great, but they're a bit pricey:

A regular wire tap would work, but a good soldered connection would be better.
