It's a 1990 Lincoln w/ a 5.0 "HO" (snickers) <SNICKER>motor in it.

Changing the rear end to a 3.73 gear set <CURRENTLY 3.27>and then swapping out the AOD for a 5spd setup.

Hopefully in the future I will S/C the beast. It barely tops 200 HP at persent. Doing the research now on what system I will use.

In any event it makes a nice addition to the Fairlane (still under construction) and the Marauder !

Beauty! Those Cobra 'R' wheels look great on there. Sweet find! I love the "near-cockpit" interior on those cars.

Best wishes,

J

Nice buy. I love those style LSC's. I've heard Paxton's and Vortech's seem to be the choice on the 5.slows, I mean 5.0's.

Thanks all.....

I am a member of Ford vs Chevy and about 3 other Lincoln boards. A LOT of information but it isn't as "clean" as the Marauder information. In the MM community, with the exception of our violent disagreement on a power adder, just about everything else is commonly accepted as the path forward.

In the Lincoln community it is a bit disjointed. The biggest issue is whether to remain with the Speed Density (SD) or convert to Mass Air (MA). The problem with converting to MA is the cruise control on the Lincoln functions through the ECU (which, in an MA conversion would be replaced with an MA one). So an MA conversion costs one their cruise control. Some swear you can find stand alone cruise parts ala the Mustang etc. and it will work like factory, others swear just the opposite.

Kenne Bell makes what is essentially a bolt on kit, one having to resource brackets etc. from a Mustang to move the A/C and alternator. This kit was originally designed for an SD Mustang so works with the SD on the Lincoln. Probably the path I will go, but if I decide to do some other tweaks (heads or cam) I am pretty much forced to do the MA conversion.

The 5spd swap is pretty straight forward, pedals etc. sourced from a Mustang. It looks very nice once it is done and should improve the driveability of the car significantly.

Ah, but its all about money and time isn't it? :burnout:
