Longevity of stock rears

Just about how much of an ass kicking can a stock rear take?? Reason why im asking is because i have been putting a sh%tload of abuse on my stock 3.27 open rear(powerbraking, Frequent WOT, hard take offs). I have appx 45k on the car... Im more or less looking for an approximate milage that these rears last under normal and "abnormal" circumstances...

Dude,
Unless you have an early '03 with the disposable axles or do a bunch of curb jumping, it should last a long time. You also don't have a posi to wear the clutches out on. You should be good to go for the long haul. That's one reason PD's like the Vic!

Yea, 8.8's kick ass when it comes to "normal" abuse like that. My old '95 CV had a trac-lok with 3.55's and I went through a set of tires every few months with that thing and I had 0 problems with it.

they are almost bulletproof, if you replaced the rear end gear oil at least 100k miles. the seals and bearing will wear out eventually and needs replacement but as long as you take care of it it will take care of you. Just like in anything, there'a always a lemon in a batch.
