Hey guys, btw thanks for all the help in my other threads. Just wanted to get a couple of hints of easy ways to run wires from the head unit, around the cabin and into the trunk. How to remove the rear seats, and where to run wires....im assuming the carpet is the easiest way? By removing the door sills? If anyone could help me with this or if you guys know a thread that will further explain i would really appreciate it. Thanks. -Shawn

Hey:
Not sure how or where to run the wires from the head unit, but once your get to the door sills it pretty easy. The door sills can be pulled straight up, they just clip in. The rear seat bottom cushion can be pushed back towards the trunk and than can be lifted up and easily removed. With the bottom cushion out of the way, you can get to (2 or 3) bolts anchoring the back cushion to the back/bottom support.
From here it is easy to get into the trunk. To remove the trunk carpeting you have to remove the plastic clips holding it down. It will be easiest to remove the entire piece, if you plan to run a lot of wires in the back.
Hope this helps. This is a little uncomplete, but it should get you started. I'm sure others have more details to add.
Good luck!

If running for a sub or something to the trunk, there is a nice conduit that runs under the door sills and carpet. I was able to pull the carpet just on either end and run cable straight through

Run the wires just like to other said. Just follow the factory wiring that is already there so nothing gets pinched. You may not have to remove the rear seat back if you don't have to do anyhting under the rear package shelf, just fish the wires thru to the trunk.

Well im changing out the rear speakers but that will use its own wires. I will only be running an XM antenna, GPS antenna, and a camera wire....so its no big deal i hope i will be able to fish it through.

There are indeed conduits under the door sills making this part of the job easy.
If you are running power and ground wires to the trunk run them on one side and your signal/speaker wires on the other side to help eliminate crosstalk and engine noise in the signal.
Once you remove the lower rear seat cushion you'll see the 2 nuts on welded studs that hold the seat back down. Spray some lubricant on the studs when replacing the nuts, I used spray lithium grease, It will make them much easier to remove the next time. I had a friend spin one the studs taking one of these nuts off and it was a pain to tack weld. After you've removed the nuts, just lift up on it toward the rear windshield.
Hope this helps.
