Since I do not like the that big fat disc in the middle of our grille I decided to investigate a few things. Went to edmunds.com to look up photos of older Marquis's. Notice that 98-02 Grand Marquis has solid waterfall grille with a smaller emblem centered on the top of the grille frame. To the point, is the grille opening the same dimension for the 03-07's? Will this fit the MM? Found aftermarket grille on a autoparts site for $59. Comes only in chrome but that can be painted anything. I think this looks a lot better.

Why not do the Zack mod?

The reason seems to be that he can get the grille for $59

No, a 98-02 GMQ grille won't fit unless you also swap to a 98-02 GMQ header panel, headlamps, and bumper cover.

I picked up a GM 07 "palm beach" ( crome with fewer wider bars) grill for a $100. It is not a plug in fit, but I am going to play around with it and trim it to fit over the edge of MM lights. just for grins

Your post stated "...Found aftermarket grille on a auto parts site for $59. Comes only in chrome but....". I am curious, what site and what does the grill look like? I haven’t seen any aftermarket grills at all for an MM?

Have a good one!

That chrome GM grille will fit but paint does not bond properly to the chrome and you will have paint problems down the road unless you sand all of the chrome off the painted areas. Dennis:cool:

The grille is just like the photo on Drock96. By aftermarket I meant not factory- Not FoMoCo manufactured. And I realize the chrome surface has to be prepared. And yes it's the $59. And, some say yes some say no so I guess I'll just look in a boneyard and try it. autopartswarehouse.com

03-05 Grand Marquis Grilles are interchangeable with our cars.

06-07 Grand Marquis went to the Chevrolet Uplander front end and no longer fit. Headlights are different as well.

98-02 Grand Marquis Grilles do not fit our cars, however, a member of CVN (loaded98ls) was able to put a 03 Grille on his 98 Grand Marquis LS.
