My brother still has a 1964 Ford Falcon Sprint two door HT
with 4 speed. 289CID with headers and 410's
Vintage Burgudy with black Vinyl interior.
Chrome reverse on the front...Baby Moons on the rear.
Was Ford's Pony Car before the Mustang came out!
Gotta Love It!

On a related note, I guess they made 1965 Galaxies in Brazil for a while too!

I posted this on CVN, it has a bunch of links to Youtube videos of the current BF Falcon and FPV GT being used in various scenarios (racing, etc...) It's basically a 4-door Mustang, straight down to the powertrain (5.4L quad-cam V8 and 6-speed manual). The older BA Falcons used the same TR-3650 5=speed manual that is used in the 01-up Ford Mustang GTs. :)

I think I posted some pics of an FPV Falcon a couple of months ago. They're crawling all over Australia, very nice cars with an options list a mile long. They even still have "Ranchero" type vehicle that they call a "ute" (the FPV versions are the Pursuit and the Tornado).
Anyways, here are some of the pics I took in OZ:

The V8 supercar series is some of the best racing I've seen, I try to watch it on Speed. Something that makes it interesting is the reverse grid races that they use in some venues. They have 3 heats, the first is based off of qualifying, the second takes the order that they finished the first race and reverses it (first place now starts last). The last heat starting grid is based off points from the first 2 races; the second heat is worth half points. It makes for some interesting racing as the fastest cars from the first heat have to force their way through traffic in the second. It usually turns into a dog pile at a hairpin corner with about 6 cars flying off the track.

I was watching it last night on Speed Channel. That tiny/awkward entrance into the pits made for some hairy pit strategies. One fellow ran right into the edge barrier because of one moment of indecision. Some nice looking cars and they stayed pretty well packed through out the race and the hairpins were a real treat.

That's the 66 model...the fenders don't have the same angle for the headlights and taillights are less rectangular, more square like the 66

Hi all,
In addition to my Marauder habit I am also into U.S. Ford Falcons and we have a local club http://falconclub.0catch.com/ that I am an officer of. One of our members is the most prolific owner of Aussie Falcon Coupes in the U.S. Here is a link to his site.
