What is the best way to wash the Black Marauder cover? Is the Washing Machine too harsh?

Mine is very dusty and needs a cleaning.

If you have a air compressor try blowing it out.

if you have a cloths line, put it over that and vacumme the dust off. Then take to a laundry mat. won't come really clean in cloths washer like we have
at home. Just don't let them dry it. Must air dry to avoid shrinkage.

I got mine from Advance Auto Parts. Get the large size, almost a custom fit and a lifetime guarranty.

No, the black ones come from Ford/Mercury. I use a generic one.

I have done mine in the washer at home on the DELICATE cycle with WOOLITE...plain Woolite, no foo-foo scent...then hang out to air dry.

One drawback of the OEM black MM car cover is the lack of a cloth or similar backing material on the paint side to grip the paint. The cover is very difficult to put on without a second person. The cover just slides off the finish - very frustrating to put on the car.

I have a factory Marauder Cover.
There's a photo of it in the photo section. It is a "WEATHERSHIELD" brand and boasts it has polymers imbedded in the fabric for paint protection.
The part #2W3Z-19A412-CA I took the number right of the box it came in.
Mine came from my Mercury dealer. Hope this helps you.

Manufacturer for the weathershield say's it's machine washable and can be put in the dryer.
I however do mine by hand in a utility tub and put it out on a clothesline to dry.
