Modification Fever Here Or What??

You know lately, within the last few weeks it seems that most everyone has been having Marauder Modification Fever around here. Guys getting entry level S/C's, full blown S/C kits, SW long tube headers, better exhaust systems, bulding up trannys, SS brake lines and more. Maybe it is because of income tax time, or, we just want more power to smoke more high preformance cars. All I can say, IS GO FOR IT!!!

Since I have been driving my car on the street with the new built motor, and really aggressive exhaust sound, NO ONE wants to mess with my car anymore. I see them roll down their windows, hear the deep, throaty mean exhaust note, that along with the ever present whistle and they won't even come next to me at a light. Even my wife has been noticing it when in the car with me. I have totally lost the previous steath sound with my car now. Vettes, Hemi Chargers, New GT Musrtangs are all keeping their distance. Not nailing it at the lights as often either (which is a good thing). People signal me to roll down my window to have a conversation about the car at the lights instead. Three times this week alone, guys ask me to pull over to talk about the Marauder and for me to open the hood. Gotta love it, if you know what I mean:D .

Yep. I get it all the time! "Is that a CUSTOM paint job?!" soon you won't be able to tell since all you'll see is a BLUR!!!!

I love to see this place all about mods. It's great!

It just might be that this a slow time for vendors and they are spuring business with group buys. They are everywhere. Works for me. Makes it about how much I save rather than How much I spend? :rolleyes: Hell If spent as much on myself as I have this stupid car I could be the new govenor of Florida....well, maybe not quite but at least better dressed than he is. :beer: Dennis

To reply to Tom, yeah... I am involved, but it has more to do with the upcoming Sebring Driving Experience that some of us Marauder-er's are going to be enjoying.
Let's see:
Battery to trunk ( Thanks Shakes26! URDAMAN!)
Bigger Methanol tank ( 3 gallon instead of 2 quart)
Re-do gauges
Adding warning lights ( Shakes26 strikes again!)
SnowPerformance methanol injection add-ons (www.snowperformance.net )
New brakes
New brake hoses ( Todd @TCE)
Interior door handle and cup holder LEDs ( HA! Shakes 26 product!!!)
StainlessWorks Headers now ( Thanks for the deal again Greg @ FIT)
New "shoes" all around
Gotta put the new rear bumper cover on and FINALLY add my Stainless Inserts



Have I missed anything?
Oh yes a stop over in Georgia on the way to Sebring for some exhaust work!

I think the stir comes from (for me anyway) an ability to park the MM in the garage all winter and keep her from the CT winters...but look at her every day when I walk by to the beater in the driveway and think about warmer weather...
