The date for the proposals for hosting MMV-V has passed, and hopefully can arrive at a decision to be announced Feb. 10th, 2007. That's just two days from now. There were numerous proposals all good ones, and very well thought out, some of them excellent Power Point presentations. Hopefully we can make the decision, on time, and make a proper announcement this Saturday.

Thanks for asking, we'll keep out feet(s) to the fire and do our part.

BTW, just so you know, there will be significant financial support to MMV-V from MM.NET, a direct result of your support and contributions to our partnership.

Even though our friends from the MCM group did not submit a proposal as promised, none of the other groups suggested dates that conflict with the Woodward Ave Cruise, either. The concern being, of course, some might chose to attend Woodward, causing them to miss the MMV-V event. We welcome everyone to Marauderville V, and consequently, all of the MMV-V proposals were cognisant of a possible conflict, and none proposed having it on the same date; although it was not a condition of acceptance.

The selection has been made with a nearly unanimous vote on the winning proposal. Out of respect for the groups that were not chosen, we are notifying them, first, before notifying the selected group, or making an announcement to the general MM.net community. Please be patient, as it will be just a day or two.

Thank all of you for your support, and especially those who have put forth the effort to submit a proposal. :)
