View Full Version : Still More on SubWoofer
I read Brian's post in the Reviews section about the test procedure for checking to see if all the speakers are working. Amazing! I wonder how many more little built in tricks there are like that which I (and maybe some others) have never heard of? Anyway, my subwoofer isn't working at all! Nothing, no sound, nada! I'm not going to pull out the back seat to check on the ground. I'm going to let the dealer have that fun next week. Thanks to Brian and all of the other posters who have such good insight on this board.

I honestly just found there was a overdrive "off" switch on the underside of the shift lever!!! man, all the time people were saying they switched the OD off and on, I thought they were referring to the traction control or something... jeeze I felt stupid when my thumb hit that switch and i saw a green light on the dash "OD off". learn something new everyday!!

Geez, any decent dealer would have shown you the OD lockout switch at delivery.

SPEAKING of the subwoofer, I had an interesting thing happen about a month ago...listening to a CD and thought the sound was a little thin...discovered the sub was not working at all...went into the trunk and unplugged the connector on the side of the sub enclosure and plugged it back in...PRESTO!...sub works fine again...hasn't malfunctioned before or since...

Hehe. I wouldn't let my sales guy show me anything about the car. I was thinking to myself "I know more about this car than you do, just give me the keys." :D

I hear ya on that! Mine actually said that to me!
"Well, since you already know more than I do about this car, lemme go get the keys for ya and you can take her for a spin."
I of course tried my best to keep a straight, business like face he came back with the keys in hand.

get in your trunk and remove the 4 bolts to pull down the sub case and remove the sub to find out! you are going to replace it anyways - right? so you must remove it at one time!
