In the last couple of days I'm getting a whistle sound from the engine at about 2500 to 2700rpm's. Looks like the exhaust is tight and the air intake looks ok. After the car warms up the sound goes away.
Has anyone else had this problem?

Maybe a hair line crack in one of the hard tube vacuum lines?

My Tempo started doing this after the first year or so. It was the bearings, I think, in the power steering or AC pump. Sorry I can't remember which. By the end it sounded like a wailing banshee until it warmed up and went away completely. I guess this isn't very helpful, but how often do you get to tell stories about a wailing banshee?

My throttle body does that once and a while in the cold weather.

Blowers made slightly different sounds when they are cold or warm. Mine whistle a bit more half way between cold and warm. Kind of hard to explain but just plain normal.

But what do I know ? My ex-wife was doing the same sound hot or cold.

So did you correct the problem in the throttle body or just live with it until the summer?
