He recently made a comment on another thread(breadfan) that he is dragging his heels because of walls to climb and lack of interest(my words). I predict its no longer going to happen.................for this year anyway.
Hey Bill,
Sorry that the calender thing didn't work out. To assuage your disappointment Silverback and I will pose for twelve pictures in various configurations, one for each month.
I can show side, front, back, high and low views, hood up, truck lid up,
door(s) open, on a ramp or downhill slope and so on.
I'll be happy to grace the background in various stages of dress, with and without leather jacket, ballcap, full monty, etc, etc. :censor:
I'll get started right away. :banned:
What are friends for?
Pat.
(don't know why I posted this, need to adjust my meds)

Thanks for the offer, Pat, you wild man you. Actually, I was looking forward to seeing some of the other members rides - in many customized stages. I also have plenty of pics of my DTR to view - wife on hood, made a clock out of a pic, and so forth. But, I was hoping to have big color pics of the collectives machines. Oh well, maybe next year.
As far as the SSM one, I didn't really care for all the people pics in it. I'm sure the SSM club folks prefered those, but I like to look at the cars. Thats just me. Well, thanks for the offer anyway Pat.;)
You know Bill, I asked the new .net site management last year to consider a rotating home page display picture of a members car.
They did acknowledged my suggestion and agreed to consider it.
Maybe if enough interest was expressed, say in a dedicated thread with a poll, this could be implemented.
What do you think?

I personally believe that Breadfan was trying too hard to please everyone. I applaud his efforts, and totally understand the hurdles he faced on the way. He posted polls, asked for specific types of shots, and was making every effort to include each color, most all supporting vendors, and even the extremely modified cars out there.
Perhaps he waited too late to start, or just got frustrated with the polls that showed nothing but an almost indecisive split of opinions. As a contributor to his project, I'm a little dissappointed that it didn't work out, but it doesn't make me think any less of Breadfan for not being able to pull it off.
Creating a calendar that represents Marauders from across the country is a pretty big task to take on. Breadfan has my respect for at least trying.

Oldekid, I agree - hats off to breadfan. I personally would have made the calendar the way I would have liked it, and then hope enough sold. I do feel he tried too hard to please too many. I may do one for next year if no one else steps up. My sister owns a printing business where she does all sorts of projects like this.

There should not be any legalities with going ahead with the Calender project.
- You are not "selling" a competing product.
- You are not using copywrited photos taken from the companies you list.
- You are not using trademarked names in an illegal manner.
- You are not slandering any of these companies in any form.
The only permissions you'd need, is from the vehicle owners. Ford, Vortech, etc, can't sell you a product, and then tell you what you can and can't do with it. Once it's sold, it belongs to the owner, not them.
And for what it's worth, I would think that any of these companies would be HAPPY to see such a promotion of their products.
