View Full Version : I might pull the trigger this year.
On an 07 Stang that is.
Dont get me wrong I love the MM, but you only live once and I want to enjoy more than 1 car.
Ive narrowed it down to either a Black or White Stick Shift version, with Marauder wheels.
Then of course it will get this...

The turbo on 11 #'s of boost will get you about 485rwhp and 515 rwtq.
That equals 11.20's in the 1/4 with nothing other than a fuel system upgrade and good tires.
I will have to sell my other stock MM, but that should be no problem.
Whatcha think? :flamer:

Do it Zack...I sold my 01 S/C Mustang GT. Kinda miss it, but the new power in my MM makes up for it. I would love a new GT vert myself for here in Florida. Trying to talk my wife into one. Would have to reamin stock though for her. And yeah, I would go with the turbo too for that ride.

How much will the turbo run ya?
Also, since you are killing the warranty anyway, why not buy a used new gen stang and save a bunch of $$?

Good point, I know Zack wa talking about a new stang at the last mini-meet. A used 05-06 might be a better alternative.

You should fly over here Zack. The particular Ford dealer in my town would probably give you a 5spd GT. There is an '06 that's been on the lot since the end of '05. I almost bought it, but that was when their old GM would not make deals with customers.

After 450 HP it is reccomended to get some strong pistons, connecting rods and crank :)

I heard that back when I was making 480 rwhp on the MM.
Livin on the edge.
If its one thing i learned over the past 3-4 years, its this...
Dont build a motor if you dont have to. You are opening up the door to a world of potential headaches.
Leave it alone til it blows up.

Leave it alone til it blows up. Then build something that will scare the "White off Rice"!
I fixed it for ya!

Zack, I see there's gonna be a "civilian" issue of the Hertz rent-a-racer, with the suspension goodies, and a 5 or 6sp and Hurst shifter. Shelby's gonna have his name on it and it might be a great platform to start your project.
Just think, a turbo GT that should smoke a GT 500.
I cant buy a Mustang now, MI2QWK4U doesnt like the idea of me owning one.

Why not just start with a Shelby? Too hard to come by, even down there? Its a beautiful platform and hits the numbers you are after with as little as a good tune.
