Hey Guys This is very exciting for me. My first post EVER ANYWHERE. I could not resist. Well onto my issue . I have a "bone stock" 03 silver and words cannot describe how much I love it . Just got my oil,rear end and tranny fluid changed at 33000 and Ill be damned if I dont feel it in the seat of my pants. I dont know what HP gain yoou expect with a fluid change but It feel like 20. No royal purple just stock. It has got me thinking... I want a NO B.S. assesment. What kind of gains can i expect with just a Superchips 1725 tune and a new cold air kit. BTW. I live in Pittsburgh and I just saw a very nice black 04 on friendship ave. 2 marauders passing each other was like 2 strangers ready to fight but who has the knife and who doesnt. thanks guys.

The 1725 will give you OK gains, but dollar for dollar, you're better off with a SCT Tune from one of the vendors here [shameless plug](like Me)[/shameless plug]

The SCT tune will give you a program written specifically for your MM, vs a "cookie cutter" type tune from the SCT 1725, which is a good option if you're not planning a lot of mods.

I happen to sell both of them.

Good luck, let me know if you have any questions.

My first post EVER ANYWHERE.

Whoa! Message boards have exploded in the last five years. They can be addictive, too. I've met some of my best friends online, some of which I've never met in person.

You will be assimilated.:party::cool3::che er::party1::hug2::welcome1:

Welcome to the collective, MROESCH...

^^^what wchain said^^^ The SCT tuning was written by an ex-Ford engineer who worked on the Marauder's original development and is highly respected as a Ford tuner, so it doesn't get any better than that. It's the best thing short of a custom dyno-tune.

Congrats on your first post. :congrats:

My understanding is that the 4.6 L DOHC was "detuned" at the factory to 302 BHP. When I was looking at the SCT 1725, I was told that it could release another 25-35 BHP and maybe 15 lb-ft of TQ. Don't know how anyone's dyno experience jives with those numbers.

Welcome aboard. Enjoy the site.

BTW, I came from Pittsburgh. One of these years, I need to get up to Kennywood and ride the Thunderbolt, the Racer, and the Jack Rabbit.

First off, Welcome aboard! Secondly, Save your money on the 1725 tuner, I installed it in my car and it felt nothing like the performance of a SCT tune.

I agree on the SCT tune. I had one in my '02 Crown Vic and now in my Marauder. It's the best $400 you can spend. Then save up for 4.10 gears.
